Speaking at a ceremony marking the anniversary of the founding of Islamic Azad University, Pezeshkian said:
"The university must raise individuals who love their country and strive to build a better future for it."

Referring to the indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States, the president stated:
"If America does not wish to negotiate with us and imposes sanctions, we will find hundreds of ways to overcome them and any accompanying challenges. What we need is unity and the opportunity for elites and academics to engage actively in the field and in universities."

He emphasized that "the people and the country need academics, elites, and scientists," adding:
"Many may not know the extent of the services our scholars and elites provide to the country, but those who work for their people are willing to sacrifice their lives without expecting anything in return—to save the region, uphold their beliefs, and ensure the success of their country."

Pezeshkian stressed "the need for unity and cohesion within the country and avoiding division and discord," noting:
"No one should be excluded based on gender, ethnicity, or political affiliation."

He praised the efforts of all academics and added:
"We must build an Iran that generates wealth and capital. This is the responsibility of our academics and youth. The enemies mistakenly believe that Iran has weakened. Iran is stronger than ever, thanks to its scientists and elite minds."
