UNRWA: Education to Resume for 300,000 Students in Gaza
Adnan Abu Hasna, Media Advisor for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), said on Saturday that the agency has prepared plans to resume the educational process in the Gaza Strip.اضافة اعلان

According to the agency’s official website, Abu Hasna explained that approximately 300,000 students will resume their education in UNRWA schools, a number expected to increase. Around 10,000 students will attend in-person classes, while the majority will continue their education remotely.

He pointed out that 8,000 teachers will work as part of this process.

Abu Hasna noted that although a ceasefire was declared last week, the war in the Gaza Strip continues in other forms.

He emphasized the urgent need to bring sufficient aid into the Strip to prevent famine, noting that current aid deliveries are inadequate.

He added that there are 6,000 trucks containing food supplies sufficient for the Strip for three months. However, many essential shelter items—including blankets, bedding, winter clothing, and medicines—are still not allowed entry by Israel. He stressed that withholding even basic aid exacerbates suffering, noting that 95% of the population in the Strip relies on humanitarian assistance due to loss of livelihoods.

Abu Hasna also pointed out that there are five crossings into the besieged Strip, and that Israel could, if it wished, allow 1,000 trucks to enter within 10 hours.
