AMMAN — A Jerusalemite family has secured a two-week delay in the demolition of their shops in the Zalaa neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber, according to a Palestinian news outlet.اضافة اعلان

The demolition of the East Jerusalem building, which is home to 100 Palestinian families, was postponed due to international pressure.

Embassies reported on Monday that the Israeli prime minister's office ordered the demolition to be postponed.

Prior to the postponement, Israeli occupation forces raided the neighborhood and began clearing out shop owners in preparation of demolition. Residents of Jabal Mukaber had confronted Israeli bulldozers to prevent the demolition of a commercial shop and a sports club.
