Israeli occupation forces continued shelling towns and areas in southern Lebanon on Thursday, while carrying out explosions targeting homes and infrastructure, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.

The agency reported that artillery fire targeted the Wadi al-Hujair and Wadi al-Saluki areas, as well as the outskirts of eastern Zawtar toward Mayfadoun. Israeli forces also carried out an airstrike on an area between the towns of Zibqin and Shihin.
In the town of Mansouri, south of Tyre, Israeli forces carried out more than 10 powerful explosions targeting homes and infrastructure, alongside the artillery shelling.
The agency said the explosions caused strong tremors that were felt by residents of Tyre and surrounding villages.
It added that Israeli forces have recently adopted new methods to demolish homes and residential areas without physically reaching them. The methods reportedly involve Israeli drones dropping barrels containing highly explosive materials from the air onto rooftops before detonating them.
The agency also reported a massive explosion in the town of Bani Hayyan, in addition to an airstrike and an explosion in Mansouri.
