Lebanon’s Health Ministry said Friday that two people were martyred in an Israeli strike targeting a motorcycle in the town of Kfar Rouman in southern Lebanon.

Israel carried out two strikes on the town of Mansouri in the Tyre district, in addition to a drone strike targeting Kfar Rouman in the Nabatieh district, according to Lebanese sources.
An Israeli drone also targeted the Ali Al-Taher heights in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military had informed residents of northern Israel that it intended to carry out strikes in Lebanon, saying the attacks would result in explosions being heard, according to Israeli media.
Meanwhile, the US Embassy in Lebanon described Israel’s release of detainees as part of the trilateral process between Beirut and Tel Aviv as “a positive step” and urged both sides to continue building on the process ahead of the next round of negotiations.
The Lebanese presidency said President Joseph Aoun thanked the US ambassador for efforts to secure the release of Lebanese detainees held in Israel, stressing the need to release the remaining detainees in accordance with the negotiations and the framework agreement.
