The Israeli military announced on Thursday that it had detected waves of missiles launched from Iran toward Israel. It noted that the missiles were intercepted following the activation of air defense systems, while simultaneously announcing "large-scale" strikes against Tehran and the Lebanese group Hezbollah.

Iranian media outlets reported that the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), in coordination with Hezbollah, carried out a joint missile operation against Israel. In response, Israel reported conducting "extensive" strikes on Tehran and Hezbollah targets in the Lebanese capital.
In two separate incidents on Thursday, the Israeli army urged residents in various areas to seek shelter after announcing the detection of "missiles launched from Iran toward Israel." A military statement confirmed: "Defense systems are operating to intercept the threat."
In a separate statement, the Israeli military announced on Thursday that it had struck 10 Hezbollah targets in the southern suburbs of Beirut (Dahiyeh), including intelligence headquarters and command centers.
Sirens blared across Israel during the early hours of Thursday morning, including in Jerusalem. Following the initial wave of Iranian missiles, the Israeli ambulance service (Magen David Adom) stated that no casualties had been reported from the missile fire, although paramedics were deployed to provide medical care to individuals injured while heading to shelters.
