According to Al Jazeera Net, Israeli occupation forces demolished several residential buildings in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza. Heavy artillery shelling and intense gunfire were also reported from Israeli vehicles that had advanced near the security fence in Khan Yunis.

Israeli artillery shelling and an airstrike also hit the western area of Beit Lahia in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, while more shelling and tank fire targeted the eastern area of the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.

On the 50th day since the resumption of the Israeli war of extermination on Gaza, Israeli occupation forces continued their air raids across various areas of the Strip. This coincided with a statement from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, confirming that his forces would carry out a large-scale military operation in Gaza and maintain a presence there.

As Netanyahu remains determined to continue the war, U.S. officials stated that a presidential visit to “Israel” would be pointless and that the White House has very limited options to act on Gaza.

On the ground, the Al-Qassam Brigades—the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas)—announced that they had inflicted casualties on an Israeli force in a complex ambush. They also confirmed that they had targeted two Israeli tanks and a military bulldozer with “Yassin 105” shells near the separation fence east of Khan Yunis.

Meanwhile, with famine looming over Gaza due to the ongoing blockade on aid entry, hospitals in the Strip have sounded the alarm over the rising number of child deaths caused by malnutrition.
