66 Palestinian journalists killed, 2 missing, and 31 imprisoned since October 7

GAZA — The Palestinian Journalists' Union reported on Friday that 66 journalists have lost their lives since October 7. اضافة اعلان

In a statement, they disclosed that two journalists, Nidal Al-Wahidi and Haitham Abdulwahid, are missing, while 31 journalists are currently imprisoned by Israeli authorities, Arab 48 reported, Hala reported.

Among the victims, six were female journalists: Salma Mekheimer, Salam Mimeh, Iman Al-Aqeeli, Alaa Al-Hasanat, Ayat Khaddoura, and Duaa Sharaf.

The union urged international, Arab, and Palestinian women's and human rights institutions to closely monitor and pursue Israeli crimes against targeted female journalists.

The temporary humanitarian ceasefire, initially set for four days, commenced on Friday at 7am local time. It includes the release of 50 Israeli prisoners, with 13 already released, and 150 Palestinian prisoners, 39 of whom have been released.

Additionally, hundreds of trucks carrying humanitarian, medical, and fuel aid entered all regions of Gaza.
