Qatar strongly condemned the Houthi group’s targeting of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, with a ballistic missile, as well as attempts to target civilians and civilian infrastructure in the cities of Bish, Taif, Farasan and Yanbu.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks constitute aggressive and reprehensible conduct, a disregard for the lives of civilians, a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a clear breach of international law.
The ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm rejection of attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure and stressed the need for an immediate halt to such irresponsible actions.
Qatar also renewed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, affirming its support for all lawful measures taken by the kingdom to protect its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity and interests.
The ministry stressed that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of Qatar’s security and the collective security framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
