Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to strike Israel’s enemies without hesitation and at any time deemed necessary.

Netanyahu made the pledge eight days before a closely contested election and following his warnings to Iran.اضافة اعلان

In a video statement on Monday, Netanyahu said he had spoken with the commander of an unnamed military base and reviewed what he described as “Israel’s ability to strike its enemies at the moment it is required.”

“I say to our enemies: Do not test us. You will receive blows harsher than those you have suffered so far,” he said.

A New Security Doctrine

In remarks delivered on Sunday, Netanyahu outlined what he described as a new security doctrine, saying that “continuous fighting, from Gaza to Yemen and from Lebanon to Iran, has enabled Israel to avert an imminent nuclear threat and break the stranglehold imposed by the Iranian axis.”

He said the war had required updates to several core principles of Israel’s traditional national security doctrine, including prioritizing offensive action over containment and defense.

Netanyahu also reiterated that his primary objective is to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power and to overthrow its government, saying the mission is not yet complete but will be carried out sooner or later.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi responded indirectly, saying that Iran also has missions and objectives that have yet to be achieved.

The remarks come as Israel is expected to hold parliamentary elections on the 27th of this month. Netanyahu, who faces fierce competition from the opposition, is seeking to attract additional support from the hard-right electorate.
