The Kingdom will gradually be affected on Thursday by a state of atmospheric instability, as temperatures drop slightly. The weather will be pleasantly mild and partly cloudy in most regions. Gradually, cloud cover will increase at various altitudes, and scattered showers are expected at intervals in different parts of the Kingdom, especially in the western regions. These may occasionally be accompanied by thunder. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate, sometimes becoming active and raising dust, particularly in desert areas.
The Jordan Meteorological Department warns in its report of reduced horizontal visibility at times due to dust, especially in desert regions, the possibility of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas—particularly in the western parts of the Kingdom—and poor visibility late at night due to fog over the highlands and parts of the plains.
According to the report, another noticeable drop in temperatures is expected on Friday. The weather will remain generally unstable and partly to mostly cloudy. Showers are expected, especially in the western parts of the Kingdom, and they may be heavy at times, accompanied by thunder and occasional hail in some areas. Winds will be westerly moderate to active, with strong gusts at times, stirring up dust—especially in desert areas.
On Saturday, the Kingdom will remain under the influence of the weather instability, with temperatures continuing to drop. The weather will be cool in most areas, partly to mostly cloudy, and scattered showers are expected in the northern and central regions, possibly extending to limited parts of the eastern and southwestern regions. Winds will be westerly to southwesterly, moderate, and occasionally active, stirring dust in desert areas.
On Sunday, temperatures will rise slightly. The weather will be slightly cool and partly cloudy in most areas, with a chance of light rain showers in parts of the northern and central regions. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly moderate, occasionally active. By evening, rainfall chances will gradually diminish, and the weather will begin to stabilize.
Temperatures today are expected to range between 23°C and 12°C in East Amman, 21°C and 10°C in West Amman, 20°C and 10°C in the northern highlands, 21°C and 8°C in the Sharah highlands, 26°C and 10°C in the desert regions, 24°C and 12°C in the plains, 31°C and 17°C in the northern Jordan Valley, 30°C and 19°C in the southern Jordan Valley, 29°C and 18°C at the Dead Sea, and 29°C and 18°C in Aqaba.
