Adobe Launches “Premiere” Video Editing App for iPhone for the First Time
Adobe announced in a statement on Tuesday that it will launch its video editing software Premiere for iPhones for the first time, in a bid to counter growing competition from a range of mobile-focused apps.اضافة اعلان

Premiere has long been one of the most popular desktop applications for content creators and professionals working on intensive video projects, alongside Apple’s Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve from Blackmagic Design Pty.

However, a full mobile version of Premiere had not been available until now.

Expanding the software to smartphones reflects the new competitive landscape, as Adobe seeks to avoid losing users to rapidly growing editing apps such as ByteDance’s CapCut and Instagram’s Edits (owned by Meta), both designed for quick, social media–ready video production that is beginner-friendly, according to a Bloomberg report.

Like these apps, Premiere on iPhone can be used for free for general editing and does not require a recurring subscription. However, Adobe will charge for credits that allow users to generate AI-powered content.

The app’s AI features include generating videos, images, stickers, and sound effects. It also offers what Adobe calls “assistive AI tools”, such as speech enhancement, background removal, and automatic conversion of speech to on-screen text. The company emphasized that it does not use customer content to train its generative AI models.

Adobe had previously launched a simplified app for Android and iOS called Premiere Rush, which offered fewer tools and less comprehensive editing capabilities. The company now plans to discontinue that app in favor of the new mobile Premiere experience.

Premiere Rush will be removed from the Google Play Store, leaving Android users without an Adobe video editor for the time being.
