With this update, the content displayed on the screen will be translated instantly, and the translation will automatically adapt as users continue browsing or scrolling through a page. The update is set to begin rolling out this week to a select group of Samsung Galaxy devices.
A More Seamless and Efficient Experience
Google first launched the "Circle to Search" feature earlier this year on Samsung phones, offering an easy way to search for any item on the screen by long-pressing the home button, then selecting the item to search for or translate.
Although the feature already supported translation, it was previously intermittent and required restarting with every new section of text. The new update significantly changes this experience, making translation continuous and uninterrupted, thus providing users with a more seamless and efficient experience.
In its official blog, Google explained that activating the feature is simple: by long-pressing the home button, users can tap the "Translate" icon and then select "Scroll and Translate." Translation will continue automatically, even when switching to another app.
While Google has not yet announced when the update will be available on all compatible devices, this development marks an important step toward making translation a more integrated and effortless part of everyday smartphone use.
