U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday, “It would be great if we could reach an agreement with Iran without dropping bombs all over the Middle East.”

Speaking at a press conference at the White House, Trump added: “Iran must not be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon—it's as simple as that,” emphasizing that while Iran wants a deal, “the United States does not want the military option.”
This statement coincided with remarks reported by Iran’s Fars News Agency, quoting an Iranian official who said that “the U.S. president’s threat to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities is a clear red line and will have serious consequences.”
The official added, “If the United States is truly seeking a diplomatic solution, it must abandon the language of threats and sanctions,” calling such threats “a blatant act of hostility against Iran’s national interests.”
Meanwhile, Vahid Ahmadi, a member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, suggested that Tehran may reach a “temporary and limited agreement” with the United States as part of ongoing indirect talks between the two sides.
