Tokyo Olympians ‘fully geared’ for Games

AMMAN — Jordan’s taekwondo team is in the midst of an Iran-hosted training camp, scheduled to run until July 19, in preparation for the 2020 Olympics.اضافة اعلان

This year’s Olympic taekwondo matches will begin on July 24 and last for three days. Jordan’s Juliana Al-Sadeq and Saleh Al-Sharabati will both compete on July 26.

Jordan’s Louay Hmeidan, Mahmoud Al-Tarayrah and Ziad Al-Halawani have joined Sadeq and Sharabati at the training camp, supervised by coaches Fares Al-Assaf and Mohammad Al-Abbadi.

In remarks to Jordan News Jordan Taekwondo Federation spokesperson Faisal Al-Abdallat said that Sharabti (80kg weight class) and Sadeq (67kg) weight class have fully recovered from the minor injuries they sustained at the Asian tournament held in Lebanon in June.

“Sharabti and Sadeq are now fully prepared for the Olympics. The federation is counting on them make Jordan proud in Tokyo… ” Abdallat explained.
