The Jordanian Orthodox Channel team has completed filming the second and third parts of the documentary “Desert Jewel: St. Catherine’s Monastery,” which included documentary interviews and dramatic scenes shot in Wadi Rum and the ancient city of Jerash.اضافة اعلان

According to a press statement from the team, the film depicts significant historical and spiritual events, including the story of Prophet Moses, Saint Catherine, and her intellectual debates before Emperor Maximianus and the philosophers.

The team expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Royal Film Commission of Jordan, and all supporters and volunteers who contributed to the success of this artistic and cultural work.

The Metropolitan of Jordan for the Greek Orthodox Church, Christoforos, praised all actors, technicians, church members, and supporting institutions for their tremendous efforts in realizing this unique spiritual and cultural project.

The film features professional artistic teams specializing in recreating Roman-era atmospheres through creative visual scenes.

Specialized teams also contributed to the design of historical sets, costumes, accessories, cinematography, and lighting, ensuring an accurate and creative reconstruction of historical scenes.

Production is scheduled to continue in its final phase, with the full documentary set to be released during the Feast of St. Catherine in December.
