The film “Hunn” (female of them) by graduate student Abrar Al-Salamat, from the faculty of journalism and mass communication at Zarqa University, won the bronze award at the festival at the level of media faculties, according to Al Ghad News.

The film talks about the struggle of Palestinian women inside Palestine, and aims to document their struggle against the Israeli occupation through gestures and terms that they are famous for.

The dean of the faculty, Amjad Saffouri, said that this award reflects the professionalism of the college, its staff and students, by presenting these media works for consideration and subjecting them to strict evaluation by a specialized committee.

Safouri praised the efforts of the university and the chairman of Al-Zarqa Company for Education and Investment, Mahmoud Abu Shaira, and the presidency of the university, represented by the acting president, professor Nidal Al-Ramahi.

The faculty of journalism and mass communication at Zarqa University has won over 15 awards in the past years at the local, Arab, and international levels.

This festival hosted Arab media professionals, thespians and academics. Also presented at the festival were awards for best radio and television programs and documentaries from Jordan and the Arab world.
