Ministry of Tourism organizes tour for media officials in Madaba

AMMAN— The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities organized on Wednesday, a field tour for several local and foreign media representatives, to see the archaeological and tourist sites that the Madaba Governorate is rich in after winning the title of Arab Tourism Capital for 2022.اضافة اعلان

While on tour director of Madaba Tourism, Wael Janineh explained the sites and the importance of maintaining tourism.

Janineh said that winning the title of Arab Tourism Capital for 2022 will enhance the Arab presence on the international tourism map, increase job opportunities for the local community, and present Madaba’s mosaic identity.
He added that Madaba earned the title because of its preservation of tourist, archaeological, and religious elements.

Janineh stressed that this success bears a great responsibility on the local community to work seriously on the development of tourism in the governorate and to highlight it appropriately.

Director of Media and Communication at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Al-Rifai, stressed the pivotal role that the media plays in promoting tourist sites and the tourism product locally, regionally and globally, and introducing Jordan to its natural and archaeological attractions.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities had announced that Madaba had won the title of Arab Tourism Capital for 2022, after achieving all the criteria and terms of reference prepared by the Arab Tourism Organization.
