Ajloun’s agricultural directorate is pressing forward with its efforts to preserve forest areas in the Kingdom. The directorate’s head, Hussein Khalidi, said that through a plan it had put in place ahead of eid, the directorate has increased the number of inspection units and field personnel to continue protecting forests from manmade fires and other violations.
According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Khalidi said that the directorate’s operations room had deployed patrols in regions, which saw large numbers of tourists and urged visitors against littering, and leaving cooking fires lit.
