Stakeholders mark Earth Day

AMMAN — A number of specialists and those interested in environmental affairs in the Governorate of Ajloun partook in a celebration of Earth Day, as an opportunity to emphasize the social responsibility towards the preservation of nature and the environment, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.اضافة اعلان

Environmental expert, Basem Al Hawamdeh, confirmed that World Earth Day calls for intensifying efforts to spread awareness of the importance of the environment and nature and its preservation, through employing social networks in this field, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Vice President of the Jordanian Environment Society, Yazan Fraihat, explained the importance of reviving Earth Day through social media platforms and spreading messages to raise public awareness of the importance of saving the planet, reconciliation with nature and its biological diversity, and the role of individuals and the society in participating to save the planet, according to Petra.
