AUT launches exchange program for pharmacy students

AQABA — Partnering with Germany’s Johannes Gutenberg University, Aqaba University of Technology has launched an exchange program for postgraduate studies in pharmacy.اضافة اعلان

The memorandum was signed by Muhammad Sanad Abu Darwish, president of Aqaba University of Technology, and Thomas Everth, director of the Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences at Johannes Gutenberg University. The two universities plan to run the multifaceted, scientific, and research program for a semester.

Outstanding students from the Michel Sayegh College of Pharmacy at Aqaba University of Technology will be able to complete their postgraduate studies in master’s and doctoral programs at Johannes Gutenberg University. The agreement facilitates enrollment at the German university and provides for an exchange program of faculty members to teach various pharmacy courses. The two universities also plan to collaborate on conducting scientific research in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences and medicinal plants.

Abu Darwish stated that the partnership will “widen horizons” for students at the Michel Sayegh College of Pharmacy at Aqaba University of Technology. The program is expected to begin during the second semester of the 2021-2022 academic year.

Abu Darwish pointed out that the partnership will also offer German academics the opportunity to learn more about the educational system at Aqaba University of Technology and to work with their counterparts in the field of medicinal plants.
