IRBID— A discussion session on gender-based violence was held on Wednesday
at the "Urdon al Ataa” charity association in Irbid, in collaboration with
the
Arab Women's Association in the presence of a group of Jordanian and Syrian
women from Irbid, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Reem Sobeh spoke about the definition of violence and its forms, such as
physical, sexual, verbal, and family-based violence, and their impact,
particularly on women.
She also
spoke about physical violence and its causes and the importance of seeking help
from specialized institutions which provide various services to women who face
violence in strict secrecy.
She
discusses the role of these services in aiding the identification of the causes
and finding appropriate solutions to reduce the phenomenon of violence against
women to eliminate all forms of violence eventually.
