AMMAN — As the first smartphone series to specialize in portrait photography, the Oppo Reno 7 series has paved the way for a new generation of smart portrait capabilities. This type of lens is one of the most inspiring tools for young photography enthusiasts around the world, and Jordanian youth in particular, thanks to the technologies, devices, and artificial intelligence algorithms that operate under these lenses.اضافة اعلان

The microlens was developed following years of research by Oppo and Sony imaging engineers. The images taken using the micro lens are sharp and clear, showing the finest details of objects, giving photographers a source for inspiration and creativity.

Oppo has taken this portrait-focused experience to the next level thanks to a combination of professional hardware and algorithms that enables users worldwide to create gorgeous portrait images with just the click of a button.

This series is the first to embed algorithms that gather enough light through the image sensor, which is critical to obtaining sharper, clearer, and brighter images.

Oppo is constantly striving to find innovative ways to increase light sensitivity. One such approach to this is the adoption of an RGBW (red, green, blue, and white) pixel design that succeeded in increasing the light sensitivity by as much as 32 percent. However, there were still issues with the power of conventional image sensors and signal interference between pixels, which caused chromatic aberrations in the captured images.

The years 2019 and 2020 marked a new start for Oppo’s imaging R&D team which resulted in adding two white-sub pixels to each red, green, and blue pixel so that each pixel would be capable of detecting both their respective “colored” signals and the brighter full spectrum of the white signals.

With the tireless efforts of over three hundred Oppo imaging engineers, Oppo finally achieved the breakthrough it was searching for, acquiring 87 patents in the process.

In September 2019, Oppo and Sony officially started to work together on the productization of the new generation RGBW sensor. Further enhancement and verification of Oppo’s Quadra Binning Algorithm Resistor Transistor Logic was completed, and later, the Quadra Binning Algorithm was successfully integrated into the RGBW sensor to complete what is now known as the IMX709 Ultra-Sensing Sensor.

Oppo’s Imaging R & D team also worked closely with chip manufacturers including Qualcomm and MediaTek to conduct compatibility tests on the IMX709 to ensure its compatibility with the top mobile SoCs. This resulted in the IMX709, which is capable of gathering 60 percent more light and delivers images with 35 percent less noise.

With the addition of a two-megapixel Microlens on the Oppo Reno7 and support for 16.6x magnification on both video and photos, Oppo introduces a new way to experience smartphone photography and maximize your creativity and curiosity.

On the technical side, Oppo considered the structural level of the microlenses. The microlens unit is installed on the phone's back cover rather than directly on the motherboard because the short focal length of the microlenses necessitates placing the phone close to the objects being photographed. Oppo also included a new Orbit Light underneath the Microlens to provide extra illumination for the lenses.

The Oppo engineering team took into account the placement of the lens and illumination with the elegant appearance of the Oppo Reno7, adding to the features powered by advanced image processing algorithms, along with other features such as Bokeh Flare Portrait, Selfie HDR ,and AI Beautification.

Oppo's efforts to improve high-resolution photography and snapshots on its smartphones extended beyond technology and design. It now allows young people with a passion for photography to take pictures whenever and wherever they want. Flash Snapshot, which is embedded in the Oppo Reno7, shoots multi-frame bursts of ultra-short exposure photos to capture crystal clear images even when subjects are moving.

Furthermore, the 64MP main camera has incredible image processing capabilities. The resolution enhancement algorithm can create higher-resolution images by using sub-pixel displacement between multiple frames to create 108MP Extra-HD images using a VD solution.

With the Oppo Reno7's Flash Snapshot and Ultra-Clear 108MP Image, you can take amazing photos anytime and anywhere without worrying about image quality.
