AMMAN — Ala AlSallal, CEO of
MadfooatCom, has announced a
significant 20 percent increase in electronic payments through the
"
eFAWATEERcom" system during the first five months of this year. He
highlighted those total payments through the
eFAWATEERcom system reached
approximately JD49.2 billion since its launch in 2015 until the end of May of
this current year.

Highlighting the system’s performance, Sallal mentioned that
it has successfully processed nearly 150.5 million transactions since its
inception, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.
Discussing the year-to-date statistics, Sallal revealed that
the
value of payments made through eFAWATEERcom witnessed a notable 15.7
percent increase, reaching JD5.01 billion by the end of May. This growth
surpassed last year's figure of JD4.3 billion.
Moreover, the number of transactions executed through the
system also experienced a significant surge of 20.4 percent, rising from 16.7
million to 20.2 million transactions.
He emphasized that eFAWATEERcom is currently the largest
electronic payment network in the Kingdom and that it is preparing to launch
“eFAWATEERcom GPT,” a new service that utilizes
artificial intelligence technology.
