Press Release — Intercontinental Aqaba has
appointed Mario Baruffi as an executive chef at the resort on the shores of the
Red Sea Port city, the Intercontinental Aqaba Resort said in a press release.
Baruffi brings with him more than 20 years of
experience throughout a variety of international hotel brands worldwide.
“Intercontinental Aqaba is confident that Chef Mario
will deliver to reach success in culinary arts and gastronomy aspects of the hotel,”
the statement said.
“Chef Baruffi is no stranger to IHG, as he has
always been part of the IHG family in the past,” the statement said.
“Throughout his extensive journey, Chef Mario has built a plethora of
experience amongst various hotels in Europe, Middle East, and the UK.”
It said that he began his career in 1982 in Austria
with IHG at the Intercontinental Vienna, and growing it in various
international hotel brands.
Baruffi is a winner of “The Austrian Newcomers Cup”
in Vienna. He reached Austrian Quarterfinal for the “World Championship
Competition” for Japan.
