If granted license, Orange would need ‘18 months’ to implement 5G

AMMAN — Executive Vice President of Orange Raslan Deiranieh said that once the company receives a 5G license, it will “only” need 18 months to install the infrastructure required, according to Al-Rai daily.اضافة اعلان

He said that the company faces problems related to the cost of the fifth-generation network equipment and of shipping, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also stressed the need to address the issue of competitiveness among major telecommunications companies and agreements with the government with a view to helping these companies bear the cost of purchasing 5G equipment.
