The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply has confirmed the imposition of deterrent penalties on anyone who hides, refuses to sell, or sells any basic goods at a price higher than the set price without justification.
The penalties include fines ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 Jordanian dinars, in addition to possible imprisonment for a period of two to six months, or both.
Anyone who violates the provisions of Article 11 of the Industry and Trade Law will be fined between 100 and 500 dinars.
The ministry urged citizens to report any violations via the designated contact numbers or email specifically set up to receive complaints.
