Jordan will participate with a high-level delegation led by the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Zeina Toukan, alongside an active presence of the Jordanian private sector, as well as representatives from academic institutions and civil society organizations.
The Jordanian participation reflects the Kingdom's keenness to bolster its developmental role within the framework of joint Islamic action. This is driven by the active engagement of the Jordanian private sector across various fields, alongside representatives from academia and civil society.
Ahead of the meetings' launch, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy and Chairman of the IsDB Board of Governors, Mikayil Jabbarov, accompanied by the President of the IsDB Group, Muhammad Al Jasser, visited the Baku Convention Center to oversee the final arrangements. During the visit, they met with the organizing committee and reviewed readiness to welcome the participating delegations.
The event will bring together ministers of finance, economy, international development, and planning, alongside development partners and private sector leaders. The participants will discuss shared development priorities and present practical solutions to the economic and social challenges facing member states.
The agenda of the annual meetings includes sessions of the Boards of Governors, a keynote dialogue session with the IsDB Group President, and the Governors' Open Dialogue. Additionally, the itinerary features the IsDB Group Private Sector Forum, the MDBs Business Opportunities Forum, the Private Sector Session of the Arab Coordination Group, as well as a series of high-level roundtables, bilateral meetings, specialized exhibitions, and knowledge-sharing events.
The working sessions will focus on a number of developmental priorities, including Islamic finance mechanisms, trade development, regional connectivity among member states, youth employment, and enhancing climate resilience. Discussions will also cover digital transformation, artificial intelligence applications, sukuk markets and innovation, reinforcing health security, and developing comprehensive social protection systems.
The ongoing preparations at the Baku Convention Center underscore the strategic partnership between the IsDB Group and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is hosting the annual meetings for the second time in its history, reflecting the commitment of member states to fostering cooperation, integration, and sustainable development.
