Dr. Ezzeddin Kanakrieh, CEO of the SSIF, presented the Fund’s financial performance indicators, noting exceptional growth in total assets, which reached approximately 18 billion Jordanian dinars by the end of September—an increase of about 1.7 billion dinars since the beginning of the year.

He added that this growth resulted from a rise in total income to around 1.6 billion dinars, compared to 664.5 million dinars during the same period last year—representing a 133.5% increase—in addition to the insurance surplus transferred from the Social Security Corporation, amounting to about 164 million dinars. The total income includes the Fund’s net income of around 809.6 million dinars and a net revaluation gain of approximately 741.7 million dinars on its strategic equity portfolio.

He highlighted that the improved performance of investment portfolios led to a 16% increase in net income compared to the third quarter of last year.

This positive performance reflects the Fund’s prudent investment approach, which is based on sound governance and disciplined institutional management, with a focus on diversified asset allocation to achieve sustainable returns while maintaining stable performance within controlled risk levels.

As a long-term strategic investor in the Amman Stock Exchange, the Fund focuses its investments on companies with efficient management and stable financial performance, following a sectoral diversification strategy that minimizes exposure to short-term market volatility. The Fund’s equity portfolio has witnessed a notable increase in market value this year, alongside achieving record-high profits, driven by improved earnings of major companies in which the Fund invests.

The Fund also invests part of its assets in fixed-income instruments, such as deposits, bonds, and loans, which form a core component of pension fund portfolios. These investments are managed under the same strategy that balances returns and risks.

Furthermore, investments in government bonds are conducted in accordance with the Public Debt Law, whereby the Central Bank of Jordan issues treasury bonds on behalf of the government through competitive auctions among banks, savings and investment funds, pension funds—including the SSIF—and insurance companies. The selection among bids is based on offered prices and volumes, and the government remains committed to regularly paying bond interest and principal upon maturity.

The Fund maintains a strong investment presence across key economic sectors, including banking, mining, energy, tourism, agriculture, real estate development, and special economic zones, as well as infrastructure projects in health, transport, and public services across the Kingdom—through strategic, nationwide investments.

The Fund also seeks to consolidate its role as an active national partner in major projects that form the foundation for sustainable growth in Jordan. Among the most notable is its participation in the National Water Carrier Project, in addition to its involvement in several Economic Modernization Vision projects, which contribute to diversifying its investment portfolio and enhancing the developmental and productive impact of its investments.
