Oil prices surged by more than 2 percent on Tuesday amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, following U.S. President Donald Trump's call for "everyone" to evacuate Tehran, increasing fears of heightened regional unrest and potential disruption to oil supplies.

According to Bloomberg News, Brent crude futures rose by $1.17, or 1.6 percent, reaching $74.40 per barrel. Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude climbed by $1.34, or 1.87 percent, to $73.11 per barrel.
Earlier in the session, both benchmarks had risen by over 2 percent.
