The fourth session of the Jordan-Azerbaijan Joint Committee for Trade, Economic, and Technical Cooperation concluded in Baku on Thursday, November 26–27, 2025. The meetings were co-chaired by Jordan’s Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Yaarub Al-Qudah, and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Finance, Suhail Babayev.

According to a statement from Jordan’s Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply, the committee discussed various measures to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic sphere, focusing on expanding trade volume and promoting investment opportunities in both countries.
During the meetings, both sides signed agreements and memoranda of understanding to expand collaboration for the period 2025–2027, including an executive cooperation program covering science and education, culture and arts, youth and sports, antiquities, health, and media. Other agreements included a customs cooperation and mutual assistance pact between the two governments, a tourism cooperation memorandum and executive program between the Azerbaijani Tourism Authority and Jordan’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and a memorandum of understanding between the Jordanian Economic Development Corporation (JEDCO) and Azerbaijan’s Agency for Small and Medium Enterprise Development (KOBIA).
Minister Al-Qudah emphasized that the joint committee reflects the political will of both countries to broaden economic cooperation, enhance bilateral trade, facilitate private sector activities, organize joint exhibitions, and diversify Jordanian exports to Azerbaijan. He also highlighted the need for continued collaboration to address regional and global economic challenges, remove trade barriers, and strengthen institutional communication between the two nations.
The Azerbaijani Minister of Finance affirmed his country’s readiness to enhance cooperation across trade, industry, investment, health, energy, agriculture, transport, tourism, and the digital economy. He welcomed Jordanian companies’ participation in Azerbaijani exhibitions and expressed eagerness to implement joint projects in strategic sectors, including pharmaceuticals and agriculture.
Preparatory committee meetings were led by Dana Al-Zaabi, Secretary-General of Jordan’s Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply, and Anar Kerimov, First Deputy Minister of Finance of Azerbaijan.
