Jordan’s Fuel Pricing Committee held its monthly meeting on Sunday to review petroleum product prices during May and compare them with those recorded in April.

In line with government directives aimed at mitigating the impact of rising global fuel prices on citizens and economic sectors, the committee decided to maintain most fuel prices for June at May levels, while adjusting diesel prices in a manner that does not fully reflect actual international market costs.
The committee emphasized that the government has continued its policy, adopted since the onset of the regional crisis, of absorbing a significant portion of global price increases rather than passing them entirely on to consumers.
The government has provided cumulative direct fuel subsidies estimated at approximately JD 170 million during the crisis period. Subsidies for June fuel pricing are expected to reach around JD 29 million, in addition to approximately JD 3 million allocated to support the industrial sector, helping maintain market stability and support productive industries.
The committee also confirmed the continuation of support for key sectors by maintaining the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supplied to industries at JD 695.81 per ton, despite its actual cost reaching JD 929.58 per ton.
June 2026 Fuel Prices
Gasoline 90: Maintained at 1,000 fils per liter
Gasoline 95: Maintained at 1,310 fils per liter
Kerosene: Maintained at 550 fils per liter
Domestic LPG cylinder (12.5 kg): Maintained at JD 7
Jet fuel: Reduced by 10 fils per liter to 783 fils per liter
Diesel: Increased by 60 fils per liter to 850 fils per liter
Actual Costs for June
According to the committee, the actual costs of petroleum products for June are:
Gasoline 90: 1,069 fils per liter
Gasoline 95: 1,310 fils per liter
Diesel: 960 fils per liter
Kerosene: 943 fils per liter
Domestic LPG cylinder (12.5 kg): JD 12.3
The committee noted that only about 35% of the actual increase in diesel costs was reflected in local prices, while gasoline, kerosene, and domestic LPG prices were kept unchanged, with the government absorbing the full increase in costs.
The committee stressed that the decision aims to strike a balance between actual costs and local market prices, in line with government policies designed to cushion the effects of global price fluctuations while gradually compensating for cost differences.
