The selling price of 21-karat gold, the most popular among citizens in the local market, stood at 93.80 JDs per gram at jewelry shops on Saturday, while the purchase price from citizens was recorded at 89.40 JDs.اضافة اعلان

The selling prices for 24-karat and 18-karat gold were recorded at 107.70 JDs and 83.20 JDs per gram, respectively.

Ribhi Allan, head of the General Association for Owners of Jewelry and Goldsmithing Shops, stated that the price of the Rashadi Lira (weighing 7 grams) reached 656 JDs, while the English Lira (weighing 8 grams) stood at 750 JDs.

In a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Allan noted that demand and supply in the local gold market remain weak. However, he expressed hope for improved market activity with the upcoming Eid al-Adha and the onset of the wedding season.

He added that gold closed its weekly global trading on Friday at $4,615 per ounce, pointing out that gold prices remain highly sensitive to any political developments regarding the Iranian file.
