The Ministry of Investment is expected to launch a school transportation project for public schools to develop a sustainable transport system for students, in coordination with the Ministry of Education, providing transport from home to school and back.
The project aims to develop a sustainable school transport system that improves efficiency and ensures student safety. It will provide dedicated buses connecting students’ homes and schools within a comprehensive regulatory and administrative framework, using a modern fleet equipped with safety standards. The project also seeks to reduce traffic congestion and promote environmental sustainability through energy-efficient or eco-friendly buses.
On the services side, a national, integrated, and sustainable program to improve cooling efficiency in public schools has also been proposed.
