Bank deposits up by 1.4% in first third of 2021

AMMAN — Bank deposits grew by JD537 million in the first third of 2021, compared to their level at the end of 2020, data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) indicated. Total deposits by the end of the first third amounted to JD37.32 billion, compared to the end of 2020, when they stood at JD36.7, according to the CBJ. The rise of deposits constitutes a 1.4-percent increase from deposits at the end of 2020.
