Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh sponsored the signing of an agreement to launch the green transition pathway for industrial heating operations, between the factory groups of Khairat Al-Shamal and Dajaj Al-Khair, and Quwat Al-Sina’a for Energy Solutions. The step represents a phased launch upon which subsequent stages will be built to include all factories of the group.

During the signing ceremony, Al-Kharabsheh affirmed that the agreement reflects the level of cooperation between the energy and industrial sectors, contributing to reducing production costs, decreasing reliance on traditional energy sources, mitigating environmental impact, and supporting the Kingdom’s direction toward a sustainable green economy.
He added that the Ministry is working on projects aimed at supplying the industrial sector with natural gas, stressing the importance of the availability of compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the market, given their added value in supporting national industry and their effective contribution to achieving the goals of the National Energy Strategy—particularly increasing the share of local energy sources in the overall energy mix.
Al-Kharabsheh also emphasized that encouraging a shift toward renewable energy projects in the industrial sector plays a key role in lowering operating costs, stimulating investment, and enhancing the competitiveness of national products in global markets, in addition to creating job opportunities in companies specializing in industrial heating solutions using concentrated solar power and photovoltaic systems—sectors considered pioneering in Jordan and the Arab region.
For his part, Chairman of the Boards of Khairat Al-Shamal and Dajaj Al-Khair, Dr. Khairo Al-Arqan Al-Mashaqbeh, expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Energy, represented by the Minister and the Secretary General, for their efforts in supporting national industry through advanced energy solutions that enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian products in global markets.
Al-Mashaqbeh reviewed the advanced production capabilities of the local poultry sector and its commitment to the highest international quality standards, noting that the sector is close to achieving self-sufficiency in poultry production, thereby reducing reliance on imports.
Meanwhile, General Manager of Quwat Al-Sina’a for Energy Solutions, Dr. Mohammad Affaneh, affirmed the company’s commitment to a pathway that supports community development and creates job opportunities, while prioritizing supplies and services from local industry and adhering fully to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. He stressed continuing efforts to translate the national vision for sustainable energy into practical projects with tangible economic and environmental impact.
In its first phase, the project relies on the use of concentrated solar power and photovoltaic energy for direct industrial heating, with a total capacity of 1 megawatt, serving the group’s feed mill in Mafraq Governorate. This constitutes the first stage of a gradual national environmental–economic pathway that will be expanded to include the rest of the group’s factories.
