Iraqis lead foreign buyers in Jordan with an estimated JD 71.8 million
Transactions for property ownership by non-Jordanians fell 12% during the first eleven months of 2025.

The number of property ownership transactions by non-Jordanian investors during the first eleven months of the year reached 2,246 properties, down 12% compared to the same period last year, which saw 2,551 properties sold.
According to a report by the Department of Lands and Survey, these sales included 1,358 apartments worth JD 117 million, a decline of 9% compared to the same period last year, which recorded 1,448 apartments, and 888 plots of land valued at JD 78 million, down 16% from 1,063 plots sold during the same period in 2024.
The estimated total value of real estate sales to non-Jordanian investors during the first eleven months of 2025 reached JD 195 million, a 3% decrease from JD 200 million during the same period last year.
Top Nationalities Purchasing Real Estate
Among non-Jordanian property buyers, Iraqis ranked first with 496 properties, followed by Saudis with 362 properties, Syrians with 216, Americans with 163, and Palestinians with 158 properties.
In terms of value, Iraqis also led with an estimated JD 71.8 million, accounting for 37% of the total value of non-Jordanian property transactions. Americans ranked second with JD 18.4 million (9%), Syrians third with JD 13.4 million (7%), Palestinians fourth with JD 12.2 million (6.2%), and Saudis fifth with JD 11 million (5.7%).
