Amicable settlements accounted for nearly 13% of the total complaints submitted by insurance company customers during the first ten months of the current year. A total of 5,331 complaints were filed, of which 684 were resolved through amicable settlement.

Total insurance premiums grew over the same ten-month period by 10%, equivalent to 68 million dinars, reaching 732 million dinars compared with 664 million dinars during the same period in 2024, according to the latest data from the Central Bank.
The ranking of insurance lines capturing the largest share of premiums paid by citizens changed, with motor insurance taking first place at nearly 249 million dinars. This surpassed medical insurance, which had held the top position in premium volume since the beginning of the year but slipped to second place by the end of last October, at approximately 238 million dinars.
Meanwhile, the total value of compensations paid by insurance companies during the first ten months of the current year increased by about 19 million dinars, reaching 458 million dinars, compared with roughly 340 million dinars during the period from January through the end of October 2024.
Motor insurance continued to dominate the largest share of compensations paid by the end of October this year, accounting for around 50%, with a total value of approximately 229 million dinars. Medical insurance ranked second, with 169 million dinars, representing about 37% of total compensations.
