US Central Command (CENTCOM) revealed on Sunday that approximately 50,000 US troops are currently deployed across the Middle East, confirming they maintain a "high state of readiness" to execute various military missions and protect American interests in the region.اضافة اعلان

CENTCOM stated in a report that the US forces deployed within its area of responsibility continue to maintain an elevated level of operational readiness, ensuring a swift response to any security developments or potential threats.

It added that the US military deployment encompasses bases and facilities in several Middle East countries, alongside naval groups, warships, fighter jets, and air defense systems, as part of a strategy for deterrence and the protection of US forces and their allies.

This announcement coincides with reports that the United States has begun sending additional fighter jets to the region, a move aimed at boosting US military capabilities amid escalating regional tensions.

Central Command emphasized that US forces will continue to carry out their missions in coordination with regional partners, while maintaining full readiness to handle any emergency, secure navigation, and protect American interests in the Middle East.

This military build-up comes alongside a warning issued by US President Donald Trump, who stressed that the region could slide into a "wider conflict" unless Tehran is stopped.

Last June, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding to end the war that began on February 28 with US-Israeli strikes on Iran. However, the United States and Iran have been exchanging strikes for several days, and Washington has reimposed a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.
