Trump on Meeting with Al-Shara: “I’m on Good Terms with Him”

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he is on good terms with Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara and expressed confidence in his ability to carry out his duties.اضافة اعلان

Trump told reporters that he considers Al-Shara a “strong leader”, adding, “We will do our utmost to support Syria’s success.”

Later, Trump posted on social media that he looks forward to meeting Al-Shara again and continuing their discussions.

Al-Shara held talks at the White House with Trump, marking the first visit of a Syrian president to Washington in decades.

The discussions were attended by Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
