Trump said his relationship with Netanyahu is "very good," adding that the Israeli Prime Minister "knows who the leader is," in remarks reported by the Axios website.

Additionally, Israel's Channel 15 reported that Trump asked Netanyahu not to take any steps that could spark an escalation in Lebanon. This reflects Washington's efforts to maintain calm and prevent the region from sliding into a new military confrontation, coinciding with ongoing diplomatic movements regarding southern Lebanon.

In a separate context, Trump announced that the United States and Iran have agreed to suspend talks between them for a week due to the funeral ceremonies for Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The announcement comes at a time when Washington and Tehran are preparing to resume the negotiation path after weeks of indirect contacts, amid efforts to revive talks regarding the Iranian nuclear program and other files, including sanctions and frozen Iranian funds.

A New Round
Trump’s announcement of the one-week suspension of talks with Iran comes after Al Arabiya sources revealed that Pakistan will host a new round of negotiations between Washington and Tehran on July 11.

According to the sources, the round will discuss the files of US sanctions, frozen Iranian funds, and the nuclear program. The representation level of the Iranian delegation will be determined after the conclusion of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's funeral ceremonies.

This round follows two meetings held in Switzerland and Doha, and comes after months of indirect contacts between the two sides, amid ongoing disagreements regarding the lifting of sanctions, the management of the Strait of Hormuz, and post-war arrangements.

Continuous Coordination
Trump’s statements coincided with reports pointing to the possibility of the White House hosting a new meeting with Netanyahu, in light of continuous US-Israeli coordination regarding regional files, foremost among them Iran and the security situation in the Middle East.

On the domestic front, Trump defended his administration's performance, considering that the United States is achieving gains on multiple fronts.

In a post on the Truth Social platform, he said that "America is winning to a degree that the Left cannot accept reality," adding that his administration is working on "restoring economic dominance, securing the borders, and boosting national pride at an unprecedented pace," before concluding his post by asking: "Has anyone seen a happy Democrat?".
