On Wednesday, China emphasized that "reigniting" the war between Washington and Tehran is in no one's interest, following Iran's missile launches at Bahrain and Kuwait and subsequent US strikes on Iran.

"Reigniting war does not serve the interest of either party, as military means cannot solve fundamental problems," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said during a press conference. She added, "We call on the United States and Iran to implement the signed memorandum of understanding, resolve their differences through dialogue and negotiation, and avoid resorting to force."
Bahrain and Kuwait had previously announced the activation of air raid sirens after Iran launched missiles and drones toward them.
The US military carried out strikes targeting more than 80 objectives in Iran, according to an announcement by US Central Command on Tuesday, in response to attacks on three ships in the Strait of Hormuz attributed to Tehran.
