Traffic department begins winter checks on vehicles

AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate’s Traffic Department began a campaign on Tuesday involving technical checks on vehicles to ensure their readiness for the winter season. The campaign will continue for a month and may be extended, Al-Ghad News reported.اضافة اعلان

The campaign aims to support a safe traffic environment that preserves the lives and property of citizens, preventing traffic accidents or technical difficulties that may affect traffic flow.

If any technical problems are detected during the checks, drivers will be given notice to correct them without the seizure of their licenses or the recording of any violations.

But if the time limit ends before the drivers repair their vehicles, violations will be reported, and the vehicles will be transferred to the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department for further technical examination. A sticker will be placed on vehicles that have been checked, so that they will not be stopped twice.
