State of Country Report recommends fighting extremism, drugs

AMMAN — The State of the Country Report 2021 called for considering programs related to combating extremist ideology and drug affliction of the society, said the Jordan News Agency, Petra. It said the report suggested that the effort be carried out in cooperation with the Public Security Department and the concerned authorities. The report, launched by Jordan’s Economic and Social Council, also recommended empowering youth politically by activating the role of the Political Institute of the Ministry of Youth by providing it with qualified cadres and supporting its programs. As for the tourism sector, it stressed the need to launch a tourism-related trails program in Ajloun, Irbid, Madaba, Karak, Maan, and Tafila so that the youth can be part of the promotion of these areas.
