Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, today received Takeshi Okubo, Japan’s Special Assistant to the Foreign Minister responsible for Gaza reconstruction.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations across several sectors of mutual interest and regional developments in the area.
Safadi emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to ensure adherence to the Gaza ceasefire agreement, full implementation of its provisions, and the unhindered delivery of immediate and sufficient humanitarian aid to the Strip. He also highlighted the importance of moving toward the second phase of the ceasefire agreement and Gaza reconstruction, linking stability to a clear political horizon aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on a two-state solution.
Safadi also praised Japan’s ongoing support for humanitarian efforts in Gaza and its continuous coordination with Jordan within the framework of international cooperation to halt the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
