AMMAN – Member of the Reform Bloc, MP Ahmad Al-Qatawneh, stated that the resignation of the bloc's members from the House of Representatives is on the table and under discussion if the government does not use the pressure cards it has, including canceling the Wadi Araba agreement, American bases as well as gas and water deals. اضافة اعلان

According to Jo24 Al-Qatawneh said that withdrawing the ambassador was a good start but more measures were needed to stop the massacres committed by the Zionist entity in Gaza. He pointed out that canceling agreements is a way to protect Jordan, given Israel's non-compliance with the signed agreements.

Al-Qatawneh stated that the deliberate targeting of civilians is part of a policy of displacement that the occupation is committing, and emptying the land. These are systematic steps, and it will come later to Jordan. The government must take action against what is happening in Gaza, such as cutting off water and electricity and suspending the signed agreements.

He questioned the role of Arab armies and the money spent on arming them annually. Why is it not used against the Zionist enemy, and how long will the armies watch the massacres of Gaza's children?

Al-Qatawneh criticized the lack of any serious steps by the House of Representatives to stop the massacres in Gaza and support the Palestinian people. He stressed that what is required from the council is not just a discussion but practical steps, including discussing the peace agreement in the first session for a vote on its cancellation.

He concluded his statement by saying, "Jordan has pressure cards, and we must use them. We should not be satisfied with withdrawing the Jordanian ambassador from there. We have a precedent when the Zionist enemy attempted to assassinate Khalid Mashaal. King Hussein threatened to cancel the agreement if his life was not saved."
