Deputy Chairman of the Qatari-Jordanian Business Council at the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khalifa bin Khamis Al-Maslamani contended that around $950 million was invested in the Amman Stock Exchange.

The remaining amounts were invested in the real estate, tourism services, hotels, banks, the health sector, education, and IT, in addition to the industrial sector, oil derivatives, and power stations, Petra reported.

Maslamani, who is a prevalent investor in the real estate markets in Jordan and Qatar, said that the real estate sector in Jordan is very promising and may attract more foreign investments from around the world.

He added that Qatar's investments in Jordan are likely to rise during the upcoming period, noting that the demand on the Kingdom’s real estate sector outweighs the supply.
