According to a ministry statement on Monday, the minister reviewed progress on the construction of a pedestrian bridge on Madaba Street, opposite Al-Shaheed Bakery. The project, implemented by the ministry at a total cost of 60,000 dinars funded through decentralization allocations, is advancing according to the set timetable.

The project has now surpassed 50 percent completion, with foundations and columns finished. The steel bridge structure is currently being fabricated in preparation for installation, which is scheduled to begin early next week.

The pedestrian bridge aims to enhance pedestrian safety and reduce traffic accidents on Madaba Street, which experiences heavy traffic and significant pedestrian activity, especially near institutions and commercial establishments.

During the tour, the minister stressed the importance of completing the project on schedule and emphasized the need to adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety in implementation, in service of local residents and road users.
