AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Sunday reached 71, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 6,032 new infection cases were recorded in the Kingdom, bringing the death toll to 7,201 and the caseload to 632,907. اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Sunday’s tally, the ministry said that 1,757 cases were recorded in Amman, 1081 in Irbid, 776 in Zarqa, 301 in Balqa, 250 in Mafraq, 322 in Karak, 208 in Ajloun, 241 in Aqaba, 288 in Jerash, 238 in Tafileh, 122 in Maan, and 152 in Madaba,

The ministry added in a statement that some 9,269 hospitalized COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 365 others were admitted, bringing the total number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients to 3,253. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 81,945, according to the ministry’s statement.

More than 9,269 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.

Around 14.68 percent of the 41,101 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
