Nine new COVID deaths, 1,068 new cases reported

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,068 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, and nine new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 10,762 and the total caseload to 828,572.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 455 cases, while Zarqa recorded 84 cases. Irbid registered 145 cases, Balqa 57 cases, Karak recorded 22 cases, Jerash 38 cases, and Tafileh 14 new cases, while Madaba registered 34 new cases, Aqaba 78, and Ajloun 41.

The ministry said in a statement that some 60 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals Tuesday, while 78 new cases were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 13,026 according to the ministry. From the 26,855 COVID-19 tests conducted Tuesday, 3.98 percent came back positive.
